AP Mid-Day Meal (MDM) Scheme: Item Quantity Per Day and Per Child

The Andhra Pradesh (AP) Mid-Day Meal (MDM) scheme provides nutritious food to school children to ensure their physical and cognitive development. The quantity of food items supplied varies based on the age group and grade level of students. Here’s a breakdown of the items and their daily allocation:


1. Rice (Polished Grains)

Classes 1 to 5: 100 grams

Classes 6 to 10: 150 grams


2. Pulses

Classes 1 to 5: 20 grams

Classes 6 to 10: 30 grams


3. Vegetables

Classes 1 to 5: 50 grams

Classes 6 to 10: 75 grams


4. Oil/Ghee

Classes 1 to 5: 5 grams

Classes 6 to 10: 7.5 grams


5. Eggs

Quantity: 45-55 grams .One egg per day for all classes, subject to availability.


6. Peanut Chikki (Groundnut Sweet)

Quantity: 25 grams (same for all classes).
